Yes!

Fuck it, this shit is da bomb! I was playin' for 2 hours long with a huuuge grin on my face the whole time, this is the funniest game ever! Keep up that shiznit! YEH! This game deserves 10's on all fronts!

Cool

Very cool and very hard game. Kinda pityful that you have to start all over if you loose once, but also very shameful that you can win so easily once you have 5/6 upgrades. Then when you get the 6th there's just no stopping you.
The thing is, once you realise you have to give the opponent the chance to put some troops on the field (by not shooting if you're about to win the battle), then you get way more victims and way more money. I had all upgrades when I started on level 12. After that, I just kept my aim on the corner where the baddies come from and kept clicking like hell to kill 'em. Eventually, one of my soldiers enters the field and hits a homerun.

VERY adictive though.

lol

Not really my cup of tea (seeing as I'm a straight guy 'n all that), but this obviously took quite some work, and I had a good laugh at the shirt with "say hello to my ssj" XD

Rofl

I laughed my ass off when it turned out to just be a classic snake game .. pure genious :D

But I laughed even harder at the people who took the game seriously XD

Online scoreboard won't open

Hey, nice game, sort of an intergalactic golf, lol. I liked it alot. Just one thing though; the scoreboard page on bot [dot] armorstudios [dot] com gives me a 404 page not found error in both Firefox as well as Internet Explorer. You might want to fix that..? My score was 67,495,141 with the nickname Ivaron and now I don't know how well I did XD.

Anyways, it was more of a gravity engine than a game, but it was still really cool. Awesome work!

The game was okay, but nothing interesting

For a first game, this was very good. It's just that it's snake, and I could play that on my cellphone if I wanted.. So.. Not much use to this, eh?
Anyways, for practicing I suppose it was a good game to choose.

For music, I would suggest going with the original song instead of this remix. I liked it at first, but then it got annoying. It wouldn't have gotten annoying if you'd have used the original song (captain jack sparrow - pirates of the carribean is, I think, it's name. Y'know, from the movie).

Anyway, well done, but next time make a more original game, something that hasn't been done before and you'll be golden :)

Very nice game

I liked the style and music, they fitted each other perfectly, the graphics were cleanand fit well. Actually I've seen only one little trouble with the graphics, namely the firecracker; when it goes up, the clockface on it becomes invisible. Violence was good too, I liked the explosion when you get rid of the rocks and the splash when a wooden log falls onto the ball. Humor it certainly has, and interactivity was great. There were so many things to push that it did get a bit confusing at first, but luckily the levels are arranged so that you build up the knowledge on what to push for which object.
There is a way to make it harder, which would be using with different colors, like you can see in the game Marvin Spectrum here at NG. That's really hard because you have to use both sides of your brain at the same time.
Furter, I did at a point get the idea to just mash all buttons to get past objects, but no dice because certain object (like the spikes) came back if you pushed the opposite button. I liked that very much, good way of forcing someone to not cheat like that :)

Thanks for the review and extra detail. I'll take these suggestions and put them into use if I make a sequel.

Nice, I liked it.

Pretty nice game, I definatly liked it. The graphics were good, but the main character looked kinda weird, and the walk animation would have been served well with more FPS, I think. Then again, I never seem to know what will get 'laggy' for others since I have a really good connection speed :/
Anyways, style was nice, Tomb Raider without 3D and other kinds of ... depths. The sound was cool, for what was there, but it could have used some more. Especially for the weapons. Violence: there was some, but considering the type of game, n/a. Interactivity was great, I always liked the kind of 2D Flash games where you shoot and aim with the mouse. Humor wasn't really there.
Something to improve on: level 8 was really really easy. It clearly shows that the difference between the weapon types isn't really explained all that well. What I did in level 8 was simply stand still, used weapons1 (the pistols with infinite ammo) and shot. My health went up faster than it went down.
I liked level 9, but I think it needs to be a bit harder and a bit less long. Fast action is always better. Than you have a harder time doing it, but you don't have to redo too much when you fail.
Again, nice game!

ChromeShark responds:

Thanks for the review and all the helpful points. I wonder what you mean by the main character being weird? She's supposed to be half-god so I wanted her to look a little inhuman. The first thing I've done on Chapter 2 is improve the walk animation, as well as double FPS she moves up and down as well to make it look more natural. Level 8 really isn't as easy as it might seem, if you lose your aim for a second then she can kill you in moments. Some people think it's easy because they beat her first time with full health, but its misleading. The final level is my personal fave, I made it quite long to give it a bit of an epic feel (distance-wise its longer than the rest of the game put together). Thanks again for the review (can't believe I got on front page!).

Well, it was okay I suppose.

Not all that great, but still nice.

Just one thing I tell anyone making tutorials: focus on EXPLAINING instead telling people. Especially in the actionscript part.

Oh, and I noticed you had your music on event. Next time, put music into an invisble movieclip that runs troughout the flash and set it to "stream" in the properties window. That makes it not go double when you use "rewind", while still working along with your buttoned out environment.

yodd responds:

Explaining instead of telling, now I dont see how I didnt do that... Anyways thanks for the review. I did never think of putting audio in a movieclip, and I just experimented, and it works greatly! Thanks for that.

you proved me wrong the score =
you-1 me-0!

This is bad..

It was a button tut alright.. But it was missing ACTIONSCRIPT!! Duh..
Also, instead of showing people you should be EXPLAINING people.

So think about it. What did they learn from this? They now know how to make a button exactly like yours that doesn't do shit cuz there isn't any actionscript in it.

There really isn't any point in that.

Also, add sound to your tutorial next time.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
